Stephen explains what biomechanics is, and what’s wrong with it and the traditional view of anatomy. We look at the limitations and outdatedness of Newtonian physics applied to anatomy, how the body is a “slave to the mind”, and how anatomy is social and psychological. We look at how children move, and how conformity is embodied and how we can find freedom through feeling and play. We also discuss teaching vs. facilitation/coaching. This one starts out being geeky and becomes revolutionary! We end with a discussion of how movement is love and an exercise in breaking norms.
